Spring Scarves

Spring Scarves

A colorful, lightweight scarf is the perfect accessory for spring. I love pairing mine with solid color t-shirts or with a jean jacket. I feel like you can never have too many scarves, there seem to be an infinite amount of patterns and colors. A great place for bargain scarves is Marshalls or TJ Maxx, they often have tons of options and most of the time they don't cost more than $15 or $20.

Happy hump day!

Weekly Wish List

1. Love these lucite earrings from Baublebar, they have just the right amount of sparkle.

2. I want this chambray shirt from Banana, their button-downs fit really well.

3. This striped dress from Piperlime would be a great spring staple.

4. I'm obsessed with this Tory Burch passport holder/travel wallet -- it would be perfect to organize all my receipts from business trips.

Happy Monday!

Weekend Outfit

Monday, April 28, 2014

Sweater (Ann Taylor), Shirt (Banana Republic), Jeans (7FAM), Flats (Tory Burch, on sale!), Bag (Rebecca Minkoff)

Despite the rainy weather this weekend, I found some time to shop, see my family and make my first trip to the new Wegman's in Chestnut Hill!! There were some good deals at Banana, JCrew and Ann Taylor but unfortunately I only bought boring work clothes. I hope everyone is having a good start to the week!

Instagrams from NYC

Friday, April 25, 2014

NYC is one of my all time favorite cities. Every time I go I discover something new so I was glad that I had a little time to explore during a work trip this week. My hotel was right near Grand Central Station so we went to Campbell Apartment (middle row, pic on the right), a speakeasy bar in the train station, for drinks and apps. It's a great little hidden place and at first it looked so familiar...until I realized it was the infamous bar from Gossip Girl where Nate cheated on Blair with Serena! It was such a cool place with great drinks like "prohibition punch," which was basically a fruity scorpion bowl. I also discovered two other great places in the Flatiron District/Union Square: Beecher's and the rooftop bar at Eataly called Birreria. Beecher's is a cheese shop but has a bar downstairs. They had great happy hour with drink specials and I highly recommend their mac and cheese!

Tory Burch Friends and Fans Sale

Thursday, April 24, 2014

Tory Burch is having another friends and fans 25% off sale. Just use the code "friendly" for 25% off through Monday. I love these Caroline flats, the snake print is a great neutral for the spring and summer. I picture them with ankle jeans and a red silk button down. They also come in black and nude.

Also, love this passport holder, would be great to organize receipts and tickets from all the business trips I go on!

Enjoy shopping!

Spring Cross Body Bags

Spring Crossbody Bags

I feel like it's so much easier to carry a small bag when it's warm outside. Having a smaller bag forces you to narrow it down to the essentials and you might realize that's all you need! Most of these bags carry more than you'd think anyway and the spring colors look great with jeans and tank tops or colorful sundresses.

What to Wear to a Work Retreat

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

This week my office had an offsite meeting on Cape Cod at a hotel on the beach. I know, it sounds glamorous, but unfortunately we only had one day of sunny weather. The rest of the time we had sessions and meetings around the hotel. I was struggling with what to pack and since Cape Cod is casual and the meeting was outside of our already-casual workplace, I brought a bunch of light jackets, easy tops and jeans. My outfits went something like this:

What to Wear to a Work Retreat

If you haven't been to Cape Cod, I definitely suggest checking out the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth. It's an adorable place and literally right on the water!

Happy Monday!

Weekend Outfit

Monday, April 14, 2014

Top (Banana Republic, on sale!), Jeans (7FAM "The Skinny" Jeans), Sandals (Jack Rogers), Clutch (Gigi New York), Earrings (Kate Spade)

Finally got around to taking an outfit picture! It was almost 70 degrees and sunny in Boston over the weekend so I had to take advantage and share at least one picture of my spring outfit. I want to try and add more outfit pictures to this blog and when it's nice weather there's just no excuse not to!

Also, these 7FAM jeans are the most comfortable skinny jeans I've found in recent years. They are really stretchy, but still have enough structure and I love the ankle length and dark blue wash. They are pretty good at holding their shape as well. I highly recommend them!

Rainy Day Outfit

Rainy Day Outfit

It's been raining non-stop here in Boston for a few days now and even though I resisted buying them for so long, I'm actually wishing I had a pair of rubber boots to wear right about now. These black Hunter boots would be adorable with skinny jeans tucked in, a nylon and waterproof Tory Burch tote and a stylish hat and umbrella.

Army Inspired

Army Inspired

I've been seeing military vests and jackets around a lot and I love how they can complete a casual look with jeans and a top. There are tons of ways to incorporate the military look though like with skinny jeans, flats or an accent piece, like a scarf or hat. Here are some of my favorite picks of army inspired apparel. I recently saw the army green Rag&Bone jeans and a ton of military vest styles at my local TJ Maxx! It's amazing what you can find there!
