The most refreshing and exciting function of fashion in our everyday life is the fabulous trends and the opportunity to individualize them, making tweaks in color, size, and pattern to reflect our personality. With that being said, the bubble necklace could not have been a bigger trend this summer and in 2012. Anyone and everyone could be seen wearing some derivative of the necklace to the point where it was no longer exciting and new, but a rather obvious accessorizing choice. I think it’s safe to say that one New Year’s resolution we should all look to maintain throughout 2013 is to ditch the tired and overdone bubble necklace trend for necklaces that add a pop of fun and color to your outfit without looking like everyone else walking down Newbury Street.
Here are some necklaces that do just that. They follow the glitzy and colorful statement necklace trend like the bubble necklace while avoiding looking like the girl at the next table at dinner.
JCrew Color Drop Necklace, Marc by Marc Jacobs Candy Turnlock Necklace, JCrew Crystal Mix Necklace, Pim + Larkin Flower Bauble Necklace, House of Harlow Triangle Necklace, Pim + Larkin Block and Chain Necklace
What's your favorite alternative to the bubble necklace?
THANK YOU! haha The bubble necklace was different and a statement piece, then everyone started wearing it....no longer makes a statement. I love jewelry that has a story. Whenever I travel I pick up pieces of jewelry that are different from what I can get in Boston. Accessories are great conversation starters!
ReplyDeleteLove your necklace choices. I'm not usually so bold with my jewelry choices but I wanna branch out in 2013!

I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to give up the bubble necklace, but I think you're right that they won't be so big in 2013. Love your choices!
